You can either buy a scratch fix at your local auto parts or buy rubbing compound. Scratch fix makes the paint soft so you can buff it out, rubbing compound will make finer scratches then you have to buff the out.

Depending on how deep the scratch is, you can use toothpaste to remove scratches out of a car. Toothpaste is a form of liquid abrasive, just like automotive rubbing compound that is used to help remove swirls and scratches. If the scratch is too deep where there is paint missing, repainting or touch up paint is required.

Use ultra fine sand paper like 2000 grit. Dry the area and apply about 1 tbsp wax to a terry cloth. All this can be found at an auto parts store.

There are many online tutorials about fixing small scratches yourself. Check to see if a place like NAPA or Autozone sells your paint color in little bottles and hop online.

Very light scratches can typically be buffed out of the surface. Either by hand or with a electric buffer. Be careful and research this process because you can actually damage the paint very badly if you don't know what your doing. You basically use a fine rubbing compound to level the surface of the paint.

The best way to remove scratches from your paint at home is with an orbital buffer and a good polishing compound. If you don't know what you are doing you can really damage your paint so make sure to do some research. Basically you buff the car in small sections and then seal the paint with wax when done.

Many car dealers use wax to hide scratches. Take a candle similar in color to the car and rub it on the scratches. They will disappear until you wash car
