Help us shower the bride-to-be with love! Here's an example: Come celebrate Regina Phalange At a bridal shower on Sunday, May 18 at 2 pm at the Asbury Gazebo Dress casually and be ready to play some fun games! Regina is registered at Target and Bloomingdales. Regrets only to Lily Jones at 555-555-1234

Good wording for a wedding shower invitation should be quite straight to the point and informational. It's nice to have a short poem, or saying on the cover. Inside, you need the essentials: date, time, location, dress, rsvp info, style (dinner, etc.).

You're invited to a small get-together to celebrate the marriage of [bride and groom]. We'll be meeting at [location] on [date] from [time] to [time].

I would stick with something basic like "please join us for a bridal shower as we celebrate the union of John Doe and Jill Smith." If the shower is for men and women, remove "bridal." Be sure to include date, time, place/location. It is not appropriate to include registery information.
