Gential warts, caused by the human papilloma viruses (HPV), cannot be cured. The warts that are seen can be removed. In most cases, a needle biopsy of a wart is needed to indicate you are dealing with HPV, and visible warts are removed. Many people experience times of remission where no warts are present, but they can recur without warning.
