Don't worry about the pH. So long as it's between 6. 0 and 8. 0 most community fish will do just fine. In fact your fish store probably keeps every freshwater fish (except maybe discus and african cichlids) in exactly the same pH water. it is a community tank fish and pH do not affect with the color of fish as like cichlids.

A good tank water PH for the sunburst platy is between 7 and 8. Remember to have a tank size of 10 gallons or larger as well.

As far my expierence 7 to 8 ph tank water is good for sunburst platy. Platys like a pH of 7 to 8 mostly. It will work for you surely.

The ph of a sunburst platy should be about 7.6 at the most. You don't want to go below that or any higher than that cause then the fish could die.
