Any beginning algebra text book will give a great explanation into the world of rational expressions. The text book will also include a number of equations and examples to work through to improve one's understanding of rational expressions.

Search for a series of books called Key to Algebra, Book 6 and 7 in particular. Theres plenty to do with rational expressions in there! You can find them free online as an eBook, or you should be able to pick them up for a few dollars/pounds from a used book store.
