A good nursing schedule for a full term baby at this age is every 4 hours. If you have trouble producing a full quantity of milk or the baby falls asleep often in nursing, it may need to be every 3 hours.

A 3-month-old infant should be starting to go longer between nursings, especially at night. You will probably still be feeding the baby every 3-4 hours during the day, and 4-5 hours at night. Some babies at 3 months will even go 6 hours at a time.

Mothers should not worry too much about the schedule for nursing because when babies are hungry, they just ask for it. They are changing attitude and we should not worry.

I honestly didn't have my children on a "schedule" for feeding. I nursed on demand, that way, I knew I was feeding them when they were hungry. The intervals between feedings were varied and not very regular.
