Discoloration of the skin can be caused by various means. One should know the reason of the discoloration prior to attempting to treat it. See a physician to diagnose causes.

This depends on what kind of discoloration you are talking about. For example, steroid cremes can help with chronic redness while a chemical peel might help age spots.

Retin-A cream works very well. You would need a prescription. Also, some have used fresh lemon juice on their skin, and have reported good results. However, both methods should be discussed with a Dermatologist.

Depending on what is causing this, try Ambia cream. This is sold over the counter and may take up to six weeks before seeing resultsbut it's cheap and works.

The reasons for discoloration must be determined before a medication is prescribed. See a dermatologist for the most effective resolution of the problem.
