Mix Borax (20 Mule Team Borax, found in the laundry section) with boric acid powder (drug store), even amounts of both ingredients. Sprinkle where ever the roaches are a problem and where ever they are getting in the house. Don't use around children or pets. This has worked in some serious roach infestations and it's way cheaper than professionals.

You can get rid of roaches using boric acid mixed with sugar in equal parts The roaches eat the sugar and the acid kills them. You can also try "diatomaceous earth." This contains the remains of tiny creatures called diatoms. Their exoskeletons are very sharp and dangerous to roaches, although they cannot hurt you or your pets.

As with most pests, get rid of their food source or make where they are living unpleasant for them. Unfortunately with roaches the first is really your only option holistically.

At my house we use equal parts of boric acid and white table sugar. We put spoonfuls in the corners under the cabinets and in the corners of the kitchen.
