What is a good brand for backpacking boots?

I can recommend Two different pairs of boots that are great for long backpacking trips and excursions. The first I would recommend is the Danner super rain forest. It is a heavy, durable boot, and comfortable boot, good for damp/cold weather. The second is the Clark's dessert boot lighter and more comfortable than the Danner, but just as durable.

I've worn Vasque boots a lot when backpacking. They are very well made and hold up well to the extra weight of the pack. They have a large variety of models as well.
