Make hokey-pokey! Boil 4 tablespoons sugar, 2 tablespoons golden syrup above a bunsen burner for 5 minutes. Remove heat, quickly stir in baking soda. This demonstrates an acid/bicarbonate reaction.

Well, an old but good one is to take vinegar and mix it with baking soda in a dish tub. The whole thing will foam wildly!
