There are over 100 Antibiotics available today. They can be mainly classified as under:
1. Penicillins 2.Cephalosporins 3. Macrolides 4. Floroquinolones 5. Sulphonamides 6. Tetracyclines and 7. Aminoglycosides.
Back in 1930 this would have been easier to answer. But, today it is nearly impossible to count. There are simply too many single drugs that can be compounded.
