What happens if your body is low on iron?

What can I eat to help with low iron?

If you have low iron levels, you will be very tired. You may have headaches and you will be very breathless if your iron reaches a really low level. You iron level should be between 11 and 17, if lower seek medical advice.

You will feel very tired and just kind of blah. There are alot of things that you can do to help your iron levels the best thing you can do is eat things like spinach red meat those things are very high in iron they also make oral supplements for it.

When your body has low iron, you will bruise easily and you can suffer from excessive tiredness. To help with low iron you can get more spinach, or antyhing high in iron, but the best is to take an iron suppliment

Low iron amounts in the body can cause iron deficiency anemia, low red cell count in blood and the process of carrying oxygen from the lungs to other parts of the body can be compromised. Liver, lean meats, legumes, whole grains, dark green leafy vegetables, dark molasses, shrimp, oysters, fruits.

If your body is low in iron, you are most likely to develop what is known as IDA or Iron Deficiency Anemia--- the most common form of anemia.

Get a CBC (i think it's called) at a dr to test your levels. If it's EXTREMELY low you can faint and fall unconscious from it. Dizzy, tired, blah and many other symptoms. But in a sense everyoneIsDiffrent. Foods with protien like peanut butter can help as well. Best Wishes!

Iron is essentials in cell respiration (haemoglobin, myoglobin) and metabolism (some enzimes requires an iron atom); dietary iron is mostly found in red meet.
