You're probably thinking of the Sea Diamond of Louis Cruise Lines, which scraped a reef in the Aegean Sea in April 2007 near Santorini. It was carrying 1200 passengers and 400 crew, all of whom had plenty of time to escape safely during a three-hour rescue mission with helicopters etc. The ship sank 15 hours after the incident.
