What exactly is the hazel eye color?

What constitutes as hazel may differ between people. Some may argue it is more in the brown category, while others argue it is moreso green.

Hazel is the mysterious eye color. It's definitely not brown, it's too shot through with golden to be green. Sometimes hazel is used to refer to a multi-colored iris with colors that radiate out from green to gold to brown. The color echoes the warm tones of a hazelnut shell.

Hazel is when you have a mix of brown in green eyes. So it makes it a dirtier looking green. Green eyes are caused by having fat mixed in with blue eyes which is genetic and brown is made from genetics as well.

Hazel eyes appear to be light brown. They have a sort of golden tone to them, and are lighter than regular brown eyes.
