What does the term LO mean in music?

I need help understanding some abbreviations in music.

It is an abbreviation for loco. It means to play the music as written, and not make the tone higher or lower.

It is most likely an abbreviation of "low" and refers to musical pitch or frequency. The opposite would be HI meaning "high".
