The contact details the terms of the agreement. Failure to abide by the agreement can result in repossession, which is authorized by the court. A vehicle can be repossessed for missed payments, misuse, etc. depending on the agreement. Most people believe or at least report that they have been wronged when a vehicle is repossessed.

Most people believe that repossession of their property was "wrongful. " While repossession law varies from one state to another, failure to make payments and/or provide insurance are the two main reasons for it. A lender gives the creditor ample opportunity to resolve the matter before repossession.

It all depends on the state where you live but most lenders will allow only one to three months of non payment before they come to repossess the vehicle. They usually give you notice before hand so you have time to bring the payments up to date or make some other kind of arrangement.

If you have not paid the lease or monthly payment, it can be repossessed. If you are repeatedly late with payments, it can be repossessed.

Usually, a lender will issue an order for a repossession if the person who is buying the car misses three consecutive monthly payments. Ask her how many consecutive payments she has missed.

If a person is at least three payments behind in paying for a vehicle, the auto dealer has the right to repossess the automobile.

A car can only be repossessed if the person owes money against it and has missed at least one payment OR if they have more than $500 in unpaid parking tickets and the city takes the vehicle for the unpaid fines.
