There are such things as hidden factors; the father could be expressing type O blood, but a B allele could be hidden. My friends father has this: he is O+ and the mother is A+ [the children can only be O+ O- A- or A+] and the kid is B+

If you are type B and he is type A, he may have inherited the A blood type from his mother. Get a DNA paternity test.

There are tons of charts online that you can look up your blood type, the mother's blood type and find out what your children's blood types should be. For instance, a father with "O" and a mother with "B" can only have a child with "B" or "O" blood type.

It could mean nothing at all or it could mean that you are not the father. If you are type O, and your wife is type A your child could be type A, if you are B and your wife is A your child could be AB, if you are O, your wife AB yoru child could be any.
