This may mean that your blood test revealed lower than average beta hcg levels. Many times, this is NO cause for concern, but rather likely that your OB/GYN will follow up with repeat tests to determine how quickly your levels are doubling/increasing.

It means that your HCG levels are not quite high enough to say that you have a viable pregnancy. You should test again in two days.

Borderline beta hcg levels(Between 5. 0 to 25. 0 mIU/ml) means you 'could' be pregnant. Below 5. 0 mIU/ml indicates pregnancy is negative or absent and levels greater than 25 mIU/ml indicates a positive pregnancy.

It means that your hcg levels are on the low side for how far along you are, or that your hcg levels are slow to double.

A borderline beta hcg level means that your beta is slightly elevated. It could mean you are pregnant. It also could mean you have slightly elevated hcg levels normally.
