Bess is a program that a lot of schools use now a days to block certain websites. Bypass the bess is a way to get around the blocked sites.

"Bess" is a popular website filter used in shared networks such as offices and schools. To "bypass the Bess" would be to provide or discover a means of circumventing this filtration, such as altering the URL in a way not expected by the filter, or to use an HTTP proxy not filtered by Bess.
