What does bear meat taste like?

There is more than one opinion on this. Some say the meat is tough and stringy and tastes nasty. Other people compare this meat to a good piece of beef steak. It may depend on the age of the bear or how it is fixed. This is something to be personally figured out.

Bear meat tastes like lots of red meats. It is greasy beacause of all the fat, but very tasty, it kind of tastes like steak.

I have only had bear meat one time and it has been probably 25 years ago the main thing i remember about it was that it was very very greasy. bears have a lot of fat on them so its quite fatty and makes a lot of grease. probably not very healthy.
