An EKG reflects the electrical activity of your heart and thus indirectly can tell you how healthy it is. "Abnormal" doesn't mean much because there are literally hundreds of ways your EKG could be abnormal, some quite dangerous and some not at all. Ask for details from your cardiologist.

An abnormal EKG can be indicative of a heart block, meaning a block in conduction, or something more serious, such as a myocardial infarction.

An EKG is an electrocardiogram, a measurement of the electrical activity in your heart. An abnormal EKG means that the recording taken from your heart is not what would be expected in a normal person. The abnormality could herald significant disease or could be an insignificant variation of normal.

I have had an abnormal EKG all my life and my heart is perfect. I was told it's just the way my system works.Ask for a stress test.
