A rhombus looks similar to a square but it has two slanted sides instead of all sides being straight lines.

A rhombus looks like a four sided diamond. All four sides of a rhombus are the same length. Unlike a square, the angles of a rhombus do not have to be 90 degrees. However, they can be 90 degrees, and so a square is a special case of a rhombus.
