Contrary to a typical valentine shape, the acutual appearance of a heart x-ray, which tapers at the top and bulges toward the bottom, more likely resembles a pear shape. It is only in the case of an unhealthy enlargement that the x-ray of such a heart resembles a valentine shape upside-down.

You normally call it as chest x-ray. Chest x-ray shows your heart, lungs, ribs and spine bones. They look like image of skeletal ribs and used to depict the presence of heart disease, pneumonia and any fluids in lungs. Heart x-ray is useful only for screening and not for diagnosis.
