There are several options. You can sell it, give it away or throw it out. Have the ring made into a different piece of jewelry for your self, or gives as a gift. You also can keep the ring to give to your children in the future when they are old enough.

The spouse who violated the vows should give the ring back. If it is a mutual, both can keep the rings - but giving it to the children is preferable.
