Use a turkey baster to spray water into the side of his mouth. Call the vet, they can do more than anyone can at home.

First be sure that the dog is actually running a fever. The dog's temperature normally runs higher around 101-103 compared to humans which run normally at 98. You want to be sure to keep your dog hydrated. Most importantly do not give your dog over the counter medication for humans as this can be dangerous to your pet.

The first thing is to ring the vet. Keep your dog cool, cold water flannels on head and tummy, or a fan blowing on dog. Lay on a cold floor

You take them to your vet. A fever can have many causes- poisoning (dogs can get into the darnest things), diseases- did you get him from a pet store, could be a puppy mill dog and subject to MANY diseases- other than that, dogs aren't prone to fever, so you need a vet- NOW.

You should call your vet right away and ask them exactly what you should do, and then make a appointment for the dog because it could be serious. It's a sign of a bigger problem. They will probably give you some antibiotics to give to your animal. Do not give them anything you found on the internet, or friend.

There is not much to be done about a fever in a dog. If the dog comes close to death then it can be taken to the vet and given fluids through a needle. This is very expensive, so it is best if the dog just toughs it out at home.
