What do I use to degrease a car or truck engine?

You can get de-greaser at most auto parts stores. "Gunk Foaming Degreaser" is pretty good stuff. Just spray it on, let it set for 15 minutes or so, then hose it off. You might need to scrub it with a brush. Try to avoid getting the ignition wet.

Degreaser spray cans can be used to degrease your engine. They can be purchased from both specialised automotive shops like Repco, as well as general department stores like Kmart. Make sure you are careful not to spray any near your distributor, or spark plugs as any water contact with these parts may cause difficulty starting your vehicle.

If you go to any auto store there will be a wide selection of choices. I would suggest that you use something middle of line, not cheap or expensive.

go to you local auto parts store and find gunk engine degreaser, follow the instructions on the can, you can use a pressure washer or a garden hose nozzle.

Well you can use a little dish soap with degresser in it and mix it with some water and take a sponge and wipe it down, but make sure when you wash it off you let it dry before you start it.

Well the best thing to to is scrub it down by hand using hot water and a degrease safe for the metal on the engine. Make sure not to force water into the engine though or it may cause issues.

go to your local auto supply store and look for GUNK they make a foam engine degreaser, follow the instruction on the can
