What could cause swollen lower eyelid, discharge?

An infection of the eye such as pink eye can cause swelling. Also an insect bite or possibly a cut on the eyelid. Also sharing make up.

An infection in a hair follicle on the eyelid is called a sty. When a sty is present the follicle becomes filled with pus, and will eventually drain.

Many things can cause discharge (blocked tear duct, particles getting into your eye, an infection from another part of an eye). See you doctor immediately.
