What could cause rapid wear on the tires of a travel trailer axle?

My travel trailer is only two years old and yet the tires need to be replaced already.

The most common cause of rapid wear on a trailer axle tire is overloading of trailer on one side of the trailer. Aso, underinflation of tire is also a suspect.

Tires are designed to travel in straight line sets, and trailers just don't. Also, unequal load, low or unequal tire inflation, worn bearings on one wheel and not another will cause rapid wear. Firstly check for squealing or "growling" on one hub or wheel as opposed to the other.

to start look for a bent axle, worn bearings, over inflated tires, under inflated tires, make sure your axles are square to the trailer you might be "dog tracking"

a mechanic can check the alignment of the axle to see if the wheels are straight. also, proper air pressure is important.

A major factor could be the type of terrain that you usually drive over. Do you usually drive on a smooth, paved road, or is it filled with potholes and other defects? If so, this could be the cause. If not, then it may be the limit of your tires.
