Ensure that the thermostat is on the right temperature and not placed upside down. try to have the system backflushed. If the problem persists, then contact an authorised dealer and get it serviced.

If your 350 Chevy is running hot, check the levels of coolant in your radiator, or have the system flushed and refilled with new antifreeze. Also check your hoses, and make certain they are not kinked or worn out.

It sounds like you have a problem with your cooling system. Go over all major components to make sure they work. Make sure the thermostat is functioning, that you have the right coolant mix in the system, and there aren't air bubbles in the line. Make sure that your radiator isn't blocked or damaged and the cooling fans work.

Quite a number of things could cause your truck to run hot. First check the fan clutch, it should be hard to turn when hot with engine off, also check for a faulty thermostat and third, check for a rotted away spring in the lower hose allowing it to collapse.
