Miscarriages early in pregnancy is very common, it occurs more often than many people realize that it does. There are many causes that result in the miscarriage.

Miscarriages aren't something that people can totally explain. It could have been something was wrong with the formation or something happened like a fall down the stairs.

Common causes of miscarriage are: genetic abnormalities, maternal (mother's) infection, failure of the blood supply in the uterus (whether fetal placental abnormalities or of the mother's organ). About 20% of all pregnancies result in miscarriage, so a single miscarriage does not mean that someone cannot get pregnant again. If someone has multiple miscarriages, see a doctor for advice.
