What could be the possible cause for my Dodge Intrepid wipers' being stuck uptight?

the wiper motor may have become inoperable. check for power to the motor . also u may have power and a good motor but somethin could have caused the wiper arm to bend and become afixed. check the arm and pull it away slightly from the windshield to see if it will move.

Corrosion could be the possible cause of the wipers being stuck. Apply some cleaner where the wiper arm is attached to the transmission assembly. This should rectify the problem hopefully.

It pretty much has to be one of three things. The fuse, the motor, or the linkage. First check the fuse, under the glove box on the passenger side. Then pop the hood, inspect the linkage for any stiffness or binding. Check the connections on the motor.

You should check the power to the motor. You might have good power to the motor, the wiper arm may have gotten bent some how and making it stick,straighten the arm and pull slightly out from windshield and see if it moves.Wiper motor may also have become inoperable.

One cause could be a burned out motor that actuates the wipers. Another cause could be foreign material obstructing it (such as ice).

Sounds like they froze up they need some WD-40 put on them .That sould break them of that .If that isnt it .one of your wiper motors are bad.they also could of over turned and gotten stuck backwards.With alittle help you could fix the problem.Just pull on it a little

blown fuse if it was in that position when it blew or a short in the wiring that permanently keeps them stuck in one position

The possible cause for the wipers to be stuck upright is either a bad wiper motor, or the gears and linkage that make the wipers move are stripped. It could also be a bad switch or fuse.
