Many things could cause the pain in your abdominals. First of all, you should see a doctor if it doesn't get better to make sure it's not too serious. It could simply be sore from a workout, you could have strained it while exercising, it may have cramped during an activity such as jogging, or it could be a hernia.

There can be several causes of left side abdominal pain. It can be a symptom of pelvic or bowel problems, kidney infections or kidney stones. In women it can be a sign of a left ovary of fallopian tube problem. Any type of stomach pain can also be a symptom of a heart problem. If it persists, please get checked.

The cause of abdominal pain could be caused by constipation, or dehydration. Sometimes it could be a stomach ulcer, irritable bowel syndrome, heartburn or in worse cases Crohns disease, or Endometrosis. They only way you will know is to see a doctor so he can do some testing. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water in case of constipation.
