It's difficult to tell from your description. If it has 8 legs, it's likely a spider. There are other common large insects in your area that it could be, such as a June bug, a beetle or a cricket.

It could be a palmetto bug, or a cockroach. It could also be a silverfish, they like bathrooms and water. It could be a beetle they like damp areas as well as water.

It could be a cockroach, but it could also be a water beetle. They are very common and look very similar. They love the wet environment of a bathroom and are absolutely harmless. Use a Roach Box to trap and dispose of them, or kill them as you see them.

Big black cockroach could be a black widow or perhaps another kind of roach, I have no idea what types of insects exist in the world but I think that all the cockroaches that are around everywhere. And can also appear in Chicago and New York and israel and all place
