toddler

Question by  matt25 (24)

What could be going on if my toddler has had an on again off again fever for weeks?

I am very worried about my toddler, she runs a fever for a few days, then it goes away to only return again.

Keep an eye on your toddler's behavior. If she is acting normal, the she is likely fine. If she is lethargic or otherwise acting very abnormally, contact your doctor right away. Lots of things can raise a toddler's temperature, including lots of exercise. Ask your doctor at the next visit.

It really depends on how high the fever is. If it is a low grade fever, I wouldn't be surprised if it was just teething. If it is higher than 101, it could be an ear infection or something. If that is the case, contact the pediatritian.

Sounds like she could be teething, getting in her two year molars. Or it could be that there are several virus going around right now

It could be teething if she has teeth coming in or she could have an infection that her body is fighting. If continues I would get her to a doctor.

Well I know my daughter got all of her teeth earlier then most children but it is very common if a child is teething to run a fever.
