Burning scalp syndrome is caused when neurotransmitters in the brain are cut short. Then your scalp starts to burn as a result.

In most cases, its an allergy or reaction to hair care products. Many different chemicals cause burning but you may need a doctor to treat it.

The weather can cause your scalp to itch, flake. The shampoos that you are using can have soemthing in it thats drying out your scalp. Try a trea tree oil based shampoo and conditioner system which will regulate the moisture level for your scalp, in turn helping the burning scalp.

You could be having a reaction to a hair product you are using. Have you recently changed soap, shampoo, hair spray or other hair products?

Burning scalp is usually due to an allergic reaction or irritation from a chemical exposure. If you've recently been swimming in a heavily chlorinated pool, or have changed to a new shampoo or conditioner, that could be the cause of the burning sensation.

Build up of products your sensistive scalp doesn't like could be a likely culprit. Wash with a clarfying shampoo to strip all buildup from hair and deep condtion hair with something infusioned with peppermint oil (or you casn add it to your favortite conditioner). If the problem persist see your dermatologist.
