This could be a sign of an infected appendix, a kidney infection, or infected hernia. See a doctor as soon as possible.

Back pain and fever could be caused by a very mild flu, by exhaustion, or by two unrelated things - stress could lead to both in different ways, or your body could be fighting a minor infection and a mominor back strain.

It sounds like you may have a kidney infection or maybe a bladder infection. If the pain and fever continues, see your doctor for antibiotic treatment and tests. With a fever it's almost certain an infection.
