The prickly pain in your shin is commonly referred to as shin splints. They are most likely caused by excersizing without properly stretching your shin and ankle muscles. A common sure for this is to walk along a sloped hill, roughly 45 degrees, which will cause your shin to be strecthed. Walk at least 100 meters.

Prickly pain in the shins can be caused by shin splints. Shin splints are hairline fractures in the bone. These little fractures are very common in runners. Runners who run on hard surfaces, such as paved roads and sidewalks, are the most likely to get shin splints. Running shoes should be in good condition to help support the legs properly.
