A light shade of a rich neutral color like tan or sandlewood would be a great start for a room with cherry wood furniture. Add hunter green, rust, brown and navy in the wall art and curtains to highlight the beautiful color of the desk.

Red and green are complimentary colors so maybe something with a green tone. Since cherry is a darker wood to make it really pop i would suggest using a lighter color paint, this will contrast with the wood in a good way. Like I said try a green or yellow to really make it pop
