You will be suprised on how many white paints there are. White paints have a blue cast, pink cast, beige and grey cast. Get a color swatch from the paint store and determine what color white you want. If the walls are not white I would primer the walls first to get the new true color.

When using such a light color it's good to use a eggshell or semigloss, making the wall washable to clean all the noticable dirt and grime.

Use an egg shell flat because if you ever have to retouch the paint job it will blend like it never happened!

The answer would be 'The Most Popular White', and, as with tube lights, there are choices. There is a world wide standard for paint colors, called RAL. RAL 9001 is a very useful, clean, white. Ral 9010 is slightly warmer and the most popular white for home use in Europe.
