What color matches dark purple?

Any jewel tone such as emerald green, maroon, or gold. Primary colors do not work as well because they tend to clash with jewel tones. A rich brown would work also, but I would not use black because it would be indistinguishable against the dark purple. Metallics would work also.

A good way to find out what color compliments another color is to pick the color opposite the color wheel. In this case gold would be nice with dark purple.

White matches with dark purple. Light purple and baby pink goes well as contrast with dark purple. Golden coloured material also goes well with purple.

White and purple combination will be good, if you are refering to painting a room or selecting dress material etc
