Should I have dark wood furniture if I have dark wall paint?

Light shades of furniture with dark paint tend to work better than darker furniture. You want to keep a balance of color to keep the room from appearing smaller and preventing a "drab" atmosphere. Your furniture is the most important element of the room,so a good contrast is essential.

I would not do that because it would make the room look really small and really dark. I would add maybe a medium tone wood furniture in as to not make it be a surprise but subtle.

I think that light wood would look at lot better, because I am one for contrast. It would look a little less creepy that way too.
