Don't worry--it is very likely your cat is just dreaming. Most cats twitch their whiskers, tail and legs and even make little sounds as they dream about stalking and catching prey. If your cat growls, she may be dreaming about fighting. It's quite normal.

Cats just naturally get a lot of spasms when they sleep. It is normal for them to spasm while they sleepl

Some cats do this from birth and it's natural, but if it is a new development, go and talk to your vet.

My cat started to have general body twitching and fine contractions of her muscles 5 days ago. The spasmes can last for hours at a time and suddenly stop and then reappir again. Seen neurologist and everything was normal. No temperature, No vommiting or diahrea. Eating more then usual.
