stools with visible amounts of mucus can be an indicator of many conditions. Mucus in the stool is a common symptom of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and a bacterial infection.

Normally stool contains some amt of mucus, but if it is with visibe amt it may be a symptom of IBS, Ulcerative colitis, bacterial infection.
