What causes capsulitis?

My doctor says that's what I have.

Capsulitis can occur anywhere in the body but I have had it in the foot. The capsular ligaments are very tough like and when they are inflamed, it is extremely painful. I had to wear low heeled shoes. Rest helps but if it is too painful you might have to ask the doctor for anti-inflammatory medications.

Capsulitis is thought to be caused by one or a combination of the following, Injury or trauma to the area, Autoimmune issues, or a lack of fluid in the joint.

Result of inflammation, scarring, thickening, and shrinkage of the capsule that surrounds the normal shoulder joint. From an injury, diabetes and arthritis.
