Don't do it! I'm a live sound engineer, and I guarantee that you'll damage your amp this way. A 4 ohm speaker will draw twice the current (watts) from an amplifier as an 8 ohm speaker will- in other words, you'll overheat the amp's power output circuit. Conversly, 8 ohm to 4 ohm will underpower the speaker and cause distortion.
