Orchids are delicate flowers and require lots of care and attention. Only water sparingly, they do not require that much water. Make sure you use the proper food for the soil and that the location you plant the seeds has lots of sun.

Growing orchids from a seed or bulb is not an easy task. You will need ideal growing condition for this to be a successful venture.

I can tell you that it can be done. As with any seed, be sure to provide it with sterile growing medium, water, light and warmth. Be sure to check the seed packet for any specific germination requirements such as number of hours of light needed, depth of planting, water temperature, etc.. And,good luck.

This is a very long, time consuming effort. Orchid seeds require a sterilization period, and soil which is rich in fungus, not the usual potting soil available. They must be grown in a sterile environment, and hand pollinated as well. The seed may take 3 to 5 years to flower.

Orchid seeds are very complicated to grow. They need to be sown in a sterile environment after being washed with diluted bleach. They are grown on a layer of agar jelly in a petri dish.
