Burning sage is used to "Cleanse" your household of evil spirits and bless your home. It is also said to cure some minor ailments such as headaches and sinus problems. Some people are bothered by the smell of burning sage, so I would suggest burning it outside first to make sure the smell won't bother you.

Sage is safe to burn. It burns very hot so should only be burned in a metal container line with sand to help absorb the heat.
