What can you tell me about a Mathushek piano?

These pianos are relatively valuable. There are very magnificent, well- sounding pianos. They come in beautiful tones and finishes; deep browns look great. Also, these pianos are not too difficult to find, if you look.

Frederick Mathushek was a German piano maker who later moved to the states. The instruments were supposedly on the high end of the middle-of-the-road, not nearly as renowned as Steinway.
