Family honor is very important to the degree that ancestor worship is an important part of the culture. Respect in general is a high value. Non-verbal communication is highly developed which could be a source of misunderstanding in a cross cultural marriage. But the high regard for harmony and respect can also be strong positives.

Marriage with a Vietnamese person depends on the Vietnamese person you're getting married with. Don't have any preconceptions about your significant other, get to know them instead.
