If the sores are chin acne, then clean the chin with warm water twice a day. Replace plastic bowls with stainless steel ones and wash them thoroughly everyday.

Chin sores are uncommon as a cat usually gets hurt in the limbs or tail or gets infection in its ears or eye areas. It may nuzzle too much or had an accident. Wash and dab sores with antiseptic and don't let pus form.

You can give your cat antibiotics as well as buy it a healing pet safe antibacterial lotion to rub on the sores. Do not use anything other then pet approved products as the cat will likely lick it. If the sores are very bad you might need a dog collar to stop it from scratching.

Take your cat to his vet as soon as possible. In the short term, make sure that the area is clean, so as not to allow the sores to become infected.

Make sure the sores stay clean and don't get infected. Try to keep the cat from licking them and allow them to heal.
